Destructoid received information, and please keep in mind that this is just a rumor, from a source that Nintendo will be funding the "Beyond Good & Evil" sequel and that it will be a NX exclusive.
As all rumors go, please take this with a grain of salt. However, the source who told Destructoid this supposed rumor, Alexander Maier (who reported on Geno's rumor of NX hardware rumors) and Geno (the person with said rumors and supposed leaks), were the ones who correctly gave information on "Pokemon Moon & Sun" and Microsoft's IllumiRoom project.
So far, the only thing known about this supposed rumor is that the working title is "Beyond Good and Evil: The Prejudices of Philosophers," which may be a reference to Friedrich Nietzsche's text- specifically the text that highlights the concepts beyond good and evil (get it?).
This case harkens back to "Bayonetta 2" (assuming the rumor is true), where Nintendo funded the game and made it a Wii U exclusive. Sega didn't have faith in the project to the critically acclaimed title, so Nintendo stepped in to fund it. Same thing here with "Beyond Good and Evil." Ubisoft probably doesn't want to fund the game, but it's critically acclaimed. Ubisoft has been jumping around the issue for years now, and Nintendo may be the only ones who want to get the game going, just like with "Bayonetta 2."
Of course, this is just rumors. We'll probably see if this becomes true during E3 or when Nintendo officially reveals the NX. Keep in mind that there are rumors that "Final Fantasy XV" and "Final Fantasy VII Remake" are coming to the NX as well (Cloud in "Super Smash Bros." does help with that claim), so it's just speculation until Nintendo (and other companies) confirms as such.
