Who doesn't like a good rumor? According to the German website PC Games, which cited anonymous sources, revealed that Bethesda would be showing off a detailed, closed-door video of "Fallout 4" gameplay.
I know. It's just a rumor with an anonymous source from a German website that I hadn't heard of until today, but lets face it, we are due for a new "Fallout" game. "Fallout 3" came to us in October of 2008 and "Fallout: New Vegas" arrived two years later in October of 2010. I know what you're thinking: "Well, there was a ten year wait between Fallout 2 and 3! Who knows when we'll see the next game!"
That is true, but another little thing that lends itself to his rumor is that E3 2015 will feature the first ever conference hosted by Bethesda. You don't announce that you're going to have your first conference at E3 without something big to announce.
Of course, this wouldn't be the first time that the rumor mill had flown into action for the tiniest whispers of "Fallout 4." In 2013, we had a hoax teaser website appear for the game, and there was the unconfirmed leak that "Fallout 4" would take place in Boston. And to knock on this latest rumor's validity even more, we do have this 2014 quote from Bethesda game director Todd Howard:
We don’t [have a timeframe for our next game announcement] but I think it’s gonna be a while.
So, yeah, this may just be another rumor, but I will say again: We are due.
