Last year, SEGA was completely absent at E3: no booth, no games, no presence of any kind. Some saw this as a precursor for the end times for the company (though people have been saying that for the last 10+ years). This year, however, will be completely different, as confirmed by SEGA Europe community marketing manager Dan Sheridan.
In the most recent episode of SEGA Central, Sheridan stated that they will have a booth at E3 and will "be making an announcement about our E3 prescence soon." SEGA chose to forgo last year's event to focus on its "restructure and relocation to Southern California."
SEGA has multiple games in development that could be shown off at E3, including "Dawn of War 3" and "Motorsport Manager." An unannounced "Sonic the Hedgehog" is also still in the works but it won't appear at E3. They're saving that for a special 25th anniversary party happening in July.
Earlier this month, Aaron Webber, "Sonic" PR and social media manager, said "To confirm: No big E3 party this year. You'll want to make sure to be at the 25th Anniversary Party on July 22nd!" There have been several rumours as to what this new "Sonic" title could be, but nothing concrete has been revealed thus far.
