Steam broke its own record over the weekend with over 9 million players logged on all at once. The actual figure seemed to have peaked at 9.06 million with the top three games being "Dota 2", "Counter-Strike: GE", and "Team Fortress 2" according to the "Steam & Game Stats" page. The peak time occurred at 3:30am Central time.
This record seems to broken on a regular basis with the last time being 8.5 million in early January. With so many players logging on Steam continues to dominate the PC crowd, and soon plans to hit the console market as well.
Now if we can only get "Half Life 3."
