Today, Ubisoft released a story trailer for the much-anticipated game "Tom Clancy's The Division." It is narrated by the voice of a soldier, starting ominously with: "They said it was just the flu…"
This trailer dips more into the story of "The Division," telling us a bit of what we already know - that the world has basically collapsed due to some of kind of disease, which delivers us to the apocalyptic setting of the game. The soldier-narrator tells us of an attempted military quarantine zone in the center of the city and the sudden loss of control by the military, and the complete collapse of the city's infrastructure as power is lost and rioters take to the streets. The military pulls out, leaving all of their best gear in the walled-in zone in the center of the city - the "Dark Zone."
The Dark Zone will act as "The Division's" PVP-heavy zone, where players will fight one another for control of the area, so they can snag all the military-grade weapons and equipment that was left behind when the soldiers withdrew. The promise of powerful equipment will no doubt lure a lot of people to the Dark Zone, but once they're inside the walls of the area, they better be ready for a fight.
"The Division" is set to release on March 8, 2016 for the Playstion 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
