Just right before EA's June 12, 2016 conference for E3's week, EA themselves accidentally leaked the official trailer for "Titanfall 2," revealing gameplay and new elements for the upcoming sequel.
The release date for "Titanfall" will be October 28, 2016, heading for PC, Xbox One, and for the first time PlayStation 4, as the first "Titanfall" was exclusive to PC and Xbox One. There's going to be six new mechs for players to use and offline play will be possible. There's also a single-player campaign. Whether the single-player campaign will be a story mode will have to be seen.
EA's own conference for June 12 is set for 1pm PST/4pm EST, where "Titanfall 2" was probably supposed to be officially revealed. Expect more to be shown at the conference, such as more "Battlefield 1" information, a "Star Wars" game, perhaps something from "Mass Effect Andromeda," and probably more sports-related content.
