Microsoft has announced today that Xbox One owners will have to wait until the "first part of 2014" to stream gameplay via the Twitch app. Until then, users will be able to view live feeds on the app, but not create their own stream through the Xbox One’s built-in streaming features. MS has announced the delay citing that they are very excited for its implementation, but want to ensure that it meets "expectations of the Twitch community".
The streaming feature will only be available to Xbox Live Gold members. Further, the platform’s “snap window” feature allows users to simultaneously play games while viewing other feeds.
In addition, Microsoft has released the list of achievements related to the platform’s Twitch app. Rewards range from the simple (watch one hour of live video) to the completely ridiculous (watch at least one minute of live Twitch once an hour for a full day).
