"Splatoon," the Nintendo Wii U game featuring team-vs.-team paint battles, is soon to release and many are anticipating its release. Unfortunately not everyone will be getting the exact product they have ordered. According to Amiibo News on Twitter, UK copies of "Splatoon" have been stolen from a lorry for GAME UK.
Most notably, the stock in question was the "Splatoon" + Squid Inkling amiibo bundle. While the suspect for the theft and the intentions are unknown, a good guess as to why is profit off of the amiibo bundled with the game, as the Squid Inkling amiibo can't be bought separately from the 3-figure bundle or the game bundle. While the bundle itself won't be replaced for those who pre-ordered, customers will still get the game and another amiibo figure- either the girl or boy Inkling amiibo.
"Splatoon" is set to release on the Wii U on May 29.
