Holdings company Vivendi sold off a whopping 41 million shares of Activision Blizzard stock yesterday in an attempt to reduce the company’s debt. Activision Blizzard is the publishing company behind big name IPs including “World of Warcraft,” “Diablo,” “Call of Duty,” “Skylander,” and “Guitar Hero.”
Vivendi still owns 41.5 million shares, but they plan to sell the remaining stock at a later date, currently undecided.
The move comes a year after Activision Blizzard bought their independence from Vivendi, a move that cost Activision Blizzard $8 billion dollars.
