Warner Bros. has announced that they are expanding the "Injustice: Gods Among Us" fighter to PS4, PS Vita, and PC. In addition to the platform expansions, Warner Bros. has plans to release the "Ultimate Edition" as a re-release on PS3 and Xbox 360. The release is currently scheduled for Nov. 12 in North America and Nov. 29 in Europe. They have yet to announce details on an Xbox One or Wii U version.
The “Ultimate Edition” version will contain all the game’s original content and pack in all DLC released since launch. Valued at $129.99, it will carry an MSRP of $59.99 for PS3, PS4, and Xbox 360, $49.99 for PC, and $39.99 for the PS Vita. If that wasn’t enough incentive, Warner Bros. has also added the game’s original soundtrack featuring work from Depeche Mode, Jane’s Addiction, and AWOLNATION.
The PS4 and Vita ports plan on making use of the platforms’ touchpad, and video sharing and streaming functionalities to make full use of next-gen hardware. Additionally, the PS Vita version (developed by Armature Studio) will include mini-games as a diversion from the brawling.
Originally released in April 2013, the “Injustice” pits DC Comics’ heroes and villains against one another in a 2D fighter. Since launch, DLC added combatants like Batgirl, Scorpion, and Martian Manhunter just to name a few.
