Team17 has released an E3 2016 trailer a little ahead of time to show off the gameplay for spiritual successor for "Banjo-Kazooie" "Yooka-Laylee," which also revealed that the game has a new release window of 2017.
"Yooka-Laylee" shows off cute, energetic gameplay harking back to the Nintendo 64/PlayStation platformer days- most noteworthy being "Banjo-Kazooie." There are a ton of collectibles to find, enemies to deal with, puzzles to complete, and abilities to use. Also, the "Banjo-Kazooie" staple of characters using text boxes and audio gibberish is present (at least in terms of this trailer. Whether it appears in the final product is yet to be seen), with a funny jab at "Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts."
"Yooka-Laylee" is set with a new release window of 2017 for PC, Wii U, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
